NBN and Optus

Got this from bussiness week::
Oct. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Singapore Telecommunications Ltd.’s Australian unit Optus is in advanced talks to transfer its customers to the nation’s proposed national broadband network, the Australian Financial Review reported, without saying where it got the information. Optus has about 425,000 broadband cable customers and may sign a deal similar to that reached by Telstra Corp., the newspaper said.

The good thing about this information. *if its correct* That the private sector is starting to get behind the NBN project. This can only be a possitive. It also makes the liberal oppositions opposition to the project weaker
