A disturbing prayer

Twilight: A Novel

Reading 'Twilight', by Elie Wiesel, I came across a disturbing prayer by a 'madman'

"Lord, since I am suffering, I not only accept my suffering. I yearn for it, I invoke it. Lord, since suffering exists, give it to me so that I may understand those it strikes. God of my fathers, throw me into the flames so that I may emerge at peace with myself. Break me in tow so that I may become whole. Push me towards darkness so that I may discover your hidden face."
I could understand this prayer sneaking upon someone without them noticing it. Yet to wish for it....

The Labyrinth

Yesterday we all went over to San Remo, to feed the pelicans, show Christina the back beach playground and Labyrinth.

I'm very excited by the labyrinth. It part of the public Labyrinths of Australia.

As you can see from the picture, Jemima runs madly around carrying her stone. I slowly get round looking at the sea and think about everything and nothing.

Its something I'd like to do on my own one day,  just focus and pray. I think it is an excellent tool for this. As well as a beautiful piece of art!
