linux radio

Linux Radio would have to be the most boring radio that I've ever listened.

"Linux Radio is an online radio broadcasting the latest stable version of the Linux kernel (currently 2.6.36.1), which is read in plain voice using eSpeak, an open source text to speech synthesizer."

Yet  Linux radio is something that I admire. The geek idea of just doing something interesting. Not doing it for money, but just becasue you can.

Nexus One

The geek side of me was warmed the other day when I heard that Google had released the "Nexus One". The new android phone.

I'm getting a bit weary of the iphone and can feel how it is just an Apple cash cow with a phone attached. Yes I feel the suck of the Apple votex where everything needs to be Apple in the house. And yes, I need to escape.

I think when the Optus contract expires for my iphone 'Nexus" will be the one. Although one question does not seem to be answered is:: like the iphone will it be upgradable? So the Nexus OS is currently 2.1, will it be upgradable to 3.0?
The other issue is that it is currently not in Australia.
